Oxford Dictionary Online:  "the science of improving a population by controlled breeding to increase the occurrence of desirable heritable characteristics."

 

There are entire scholarly groups dedicated to studying genetics so that only the most qualified humans will reproduce, such as The Galton Institute in England and the American Eugenics Society.
