UK Baby Saved From Death Pathway
In England, the philosophy is that medical treatment should be given only to those who deserve it, who are likely to survive...they believe that trying to save a premature baby is a waste of money. That is state-run health care: ration health care. That is what Obamacare is. That is what Agenda 21 is pushing.
LITTLE Maddalena Douse is one of the smallest premature babies ever to survive in the UK — thanks to a pair of SCISSORS.
When she was born six months ago at just 23 weeks she was so tiny docs did not know if they should try to save her.
But when they put her on the scales she weighed 1lb, the minimum weight for a baby to be considered viable — so they fought for her.
Only when she was safely on a ventilator did medics discover the scissors had been accidentally left on the scales and that 8in Maddalena in fact weighed only 382g.
The lucky baby has now been discharged from the Royal Sussex Hospital and is expected to grow into a healthy child.
Mum Kate Douse and her plumber husband, Renato, 32, of Lewes, East Sussex, suffered heartache when Maddalena’s twin Isabella died a few weeks after the sisters were born.
But 31-year-old Kate is delighted with the family’s “miracle” girl.
She said: “We never thought we’d ever bring Maddalena home.
“She now weighs 5½lbs and is getting stronger by the day. She’s our little miracle and we’re so glad to have her home in time for Christmas.”
